GAMES

In E-Learning, we also had discussed about and play a games that we almost like and almost play. Now, i will show you, some of the games that I always play.

I like playing this games. This is one of the games that I always played. Dynomite! Deluxe is about the fast-paced prehistoric puzzle game. It is to shoot dinosaur eggs into the puzzle to create groups of 3 or more of the same colour... There are 4 different game modes in Dynomite! Deluxe. Beginners may want to try the Endless game first. Experts may prefer Stomped! or the Fossil Challenge. If looking for a low-stress game, try Time Trial... you can't ever lose when use it.

This is game of Typer Shark Deluxe. Its can make me to practice typing effectively. Typer Shark Deluxe is a typing tutor unlike any you've ever seen before. Dive deep into the ocean depths with only using a keyboard for protection... and zap menacing Word Sharks by typing the words printed on their sides.

Another one is Pizza Frenzy. I know you all know already this game. Its about to create a pizza and send it to people who order it. If you can manage the time, you can get lots of money and achieve the goal. After that, you can go to the next level.

If you want to know, I also like to play Sushi Frenzy. Sushi Frenzy is same as Dinner Dash. It just pick the sushi that they want to eat and avoid the customer complain. Then, you can get the higher point and can proceed to the next level.

TWITTER

In E-Learning, we also learn about twitter, digs, delicious etc.

So, in this blog, I would like to share what I know about twitter. Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages. As I know, twitter is like a blog but it more to communicate to people, keep track with each other, know the personal life of famous bloggers by following them, suggest tips other bloggers and gets famous for that online, know Your competitor secrets by following them on twitter, the business men also can send a tweets to their boss if they do not coming to the office, and also will keeps you engage with your customers on twitter through updates. Other than that, twitter also has lack of privacy, it is easy to links to the pornographic website, and it is rigid for the new user to use the application in the twitter for example, difficult to search the follower.

The reason why people might want to considered using twitter are they use it to create interesting contacts and spark interesting conversations, can built the network, can tap into knowledge, and also it is a real time information.

As a conclusion, twitter is not a friendly user, it has lack of features, not well establish yet in Malaysia and it also same goes to blog.

COMPARISON BETWEEN 2 SEARCH ENGINES

In E-Learning, we also cover about search engine that we prefer to use to search our information. this comparison, I would like to compare about LYCOS and ALTA VISTA interm of interface and speed.

Interface

  • Similarities
Lycos and Alta Vista effectively have two interfaces - one for simple keyword searching and another for more advanced sort of question using Boolean operators. Simple keyword search interfaces are located on the home page of each search engine, so these are the first interfaces that the user sees, and many users tend to use these by default rather than exploring the other options available. Both of this search engines provide a fast and easy to use tool for searching. They also provide the ability to refine the search once the results of an initial search have been posted on screen.

  • Differences
Lycos - offers its advanced search form under a hypertext link from the home page called Enhance your search. Lycos provides a small query box into which search keywords can be typed. The Search Options menu enables the user to choose and or Boolean operators (it can be implemented by placing a dash (-) in front of a keyword). It also provides a feature known as relevancy and adjacency ranking and this is implemented when it sorts the search hits. The documents that need to be search will appear at the list follow the keywords and also the particular choice of words.
Alta Vista - offers its Advanced Query mode under its clickable logo at the top of the home page. Alta Vista only performs relevancy ranking on your hits if you specifically ask it to by specifying keywords in the Results Ranking Criteria box. It is currently a test version, and upgrades will be made once the developers have evaluated user responses. Alta Vista also enables a user to restrict their search to particular fields of a document such as the title of a document, the URL, the host and the links contained within a document. It also supports full Boolean searching.

Speed

Both of this search engines are generally provide a fast and easy to use tool for very simple things to searching. The speed also depends on the size of the World Wide Web and the generally diverse nature of material available. It may have some sort of problem to search if they do not have the related keywords. To keeping up the rapid growth of World Wide Web, Lycos has updated their entire database every month, and new pages are added on a weekly basis. Alta Vista had used 20 muti-processor machines using DEC's 64-bit Alpha processor. Together, the back-end machines had 130 GB of RAM and 500 GB of hard disk space, and received 13 million queries per day. This made AltaVista the first searchable, full-text database of a large part of the World Wide Web. It used a fast, multi-threaded crawler (Scooter) which could cover a lot more Web pages than were believed to exist at the time and an efficient search back-end running on advanced hardware

ADVANTAGES AND DEVICE THAT NEEDED FOR VoiP

VOiP had lots of advantages that would make people who use it feels comfortable.

Advantages
  • save lots of money
  • flexibility
  • more than two person
  • abundant, interesting and useful features.
  • cheap user hardware and software

Devices that needed for VOiP

  • Analog Telephone Adapters - An ATA is commonly called a phone adapter. it is important device used to act as a hardware interface between an analog PSTN telephone system and a digital VOiP line.
  • Telephone Sets - the phone set is essential for VOiP, as it makes up the interface between people and the service. It is both an input an output device. Several types of phone can be used with VOiP, depending on the circumstances.
  • PC Handsets - handsets resemble telephones but they connected to the computer through USB or a sound card. They work together with a soft phone allowing you to use VOiP more comfotably. They can also be plugged into an IP phone to allow many users using the same phone.
  • PC Headsets - a PC headset is very coomon multimedia device which allows people to hear audio from computer and input the voice by using microphone.

3 COMPARISONS AMONG THE SERVICES THAT COMPANY PROVIDED

There have lots of company that provided the services in internet but the most I would like to share 3 company such as Celcom, Jaring.net, Putra.net.
For the data transmission, Celcom had up to 3.6 Mbps, Jaring.net is 250 Mb, and Putra.net is 1.0 Mbps untill 1.25 Gbps. For the fees, Celcom is RM 8 per 24 hours access, RM 68 per month and RM 98 per month. Jaring.net is RM 5- RM 20 per 600 minutes, and Putra.net is RM 899. Types of services, Celcom had provided a broadband to their customer, rather than Jaring.net and Putra.net that just provided dial-up for the customer.

WHAT IS 1G,2G,2.5G,3G,4G?

In our first lesson in E-Learning, we had discussed about what is 1G, 2G, 2.5G, 3G, and 4G. Now I will proceed to its own meaning that we had learn.

1G- Did you remember analog “brick phones” and “bag phones” way, way back in the day? As you know, cell phones began with 1G.

2G- Cell phones received their first major upgrade when they went from 1G to 2G. This leap effectively took cell phones from analog to digital.

2.5G- Before making the major leap from 2G to 3G wireless networks, the lesser-known 2.5G was an interim standard that bridged the gap.

3G- Following 2.5G, 3G ushered in faster data-transmission speeds so the user could use the cell phone in more data-demanding ways. This has meant streaming video (i.e. movie trailers and television), audio and much more.

4G- No technology would be complete without a looming upgrade for tomorrow. So, this 4G are more faster than 3G and would make the user feels easy to use it in daily time.

WHAT IS E-LEARNING?

In my opinion, e-learning is some of technologies nowadays that had been provided to the user and people to create, distribute, manage, and enable learning via an electronic network. Earlier before, student had to find the teacher to get a information about the sudject that they had learn but today, student had their own opportunity to search the all information about everything that they want to know such as cuurent issue, subject that they had learn, games and etc. This subject are good for student to learn it because it leads to more flexible delivery, allow the students to shift the time, place and pace of learning.
Assalamualaikum to everyone....

This blog is about what I had learn in E-Learning subject. I really like to share to all of you about what is E-Learning... Enjoy yourself..!
